My boss at work told me I could perform interviews over the next week or so. I informed him that I will be basing my selection of candidates on their answers to my hypothetical questions and he gave me the go ahead.
I have one question so far. “You are traveling through an enchanted forest on your way to see the Benevolent King Cyrus who has summoned you to his courts for reasons unbeknownst to you. Along the path you spot a shimmering white something or another amidst the trees. Upon further inspection, you find that a unicorn has taken up residence in the forest and proposes that upon completing a specified task, he will grant you one wish. What do you do?”
The only correct answer of course is to politely decline his offer and continue towards the king who summoned you. People never honestly answer whether or not it is acceptable to call off of work and I really think hypothetical questions are a great way to figure where people’s heads are at. You think just because you got offered free tickets some sporting event/concert/etc. that you can just call into work and expect your shift to be covered? Not in this kingdom.
In the kingdom of Barnes and Noble Cafe, yes. That was an EXCELLENT Wild hockey game. Great seats, too.
